From I don’t think I’ll make it to a job offer!

I kept manifesting this day, where I could finally write this post.

I’m so happy and emotional to share that I’ve accepted a new job offer as an R&D Project Supervisor with a salary of $80K/year

A few months ago, I was in a completely different place. I was working at a care facility, and although I was grateful to have a job, I knew deep down that it wasn’t where I wanted my career to go. I kept applying, interviewing, getting rejected, and slowly started questioning myself.

There were so many moments when I genuinely thought, Maybe I’m not going to make it in Canada.

I had a Civil Engineering background and a Master’s degree, but somehow I still struggled to communicate my value and present myself confidently in interviews.

I had been following Bani on Instagram for a long time, watching the success stories and content from this community. I knew I wanted to join the coaching program, but financially, it wasn’t easy. I started saving money specifically so I could join.

And eventually, I did.

One of the most humbling moments for me was my first mock interview with Ishank.

I walked into that mock feeling VERY confident. I thought I was prepared.

Then the mock happened.

And honestly… I cried afterward.

My performance was nowhere near what I thought it was. I realized how overconfident I had been and how much I actually needed to improve. It was difficult to hear, but it was exactly what I needed.

The mocks with Ishank became one of the biggest turning points for me. They helped me understand where I was going wrong, how to structure my answers, how to communicate my experience, how to handle difficult questions, and most importantly, how to believe in myself while still being prepared.

Ishank, thank you for pushing me, correcting me, and giving me reality checks.

I’m happy to share that I have accepted an offer for the Financial Services Representative (FSR) role at CIBC, one of Canada’s Big Five banks.

This role is mainly focused on sales , and that is where my two years of sales experience really helped me. Banking was not originally my field, but I knew I had strong transferable skills from sales. During the interview process, I had a coffee chat with the hiring manager, and I focused on showing how my experience could add value in this role. I’m really grateful that the hiring manager saw that and gave me the opportunity.

One thing that went really well during my interview was my PPT presentation. I prepared a presentation on CIBC and explained how I could bring my sales background and transferable skills to the role. I made sure I touched on every single point the hiring manager was looking for. The hiring manager was impressed with how well I explained my ideas and connected my experience to the position.

Ninjas, please practice your PPT! Don't just prepare the slides. Practice presenting them until you feel confident explaining every single point. That confidence can make a BIG difference.

But honestly, this post is not just about getting the job.

It’s about the journey that got me here.

I still remember taking the GO bus from Brampton to my part-time job. Whenever I passed Square One and I saw those big corporate buildings, I used to look at them for minutes and think:

How hard would it be to work for an organization like this one day?

I used to read other Ninjas’ success stories and think, One day, I’ll write mine too.

And today, I finally can.

I remember joining @Bani Singh Bhoma Instagram Live before joining coaching and asking:

Is it better to work as a manager in retail, or are corporate jobs better?

Bani told me that corporate could give me a better lifestyle, a 9-5 schedule, and better growth compared to retail. That conversation stayed with me, and I decided to take the chance.

These are the words every one of us wants to hear and yesterday was that day for me.

There was a time when i was lost and wasn’t applying for jobs and self doubting. I had been following ishank and bani on insta for quite some time and as the time passed i knew ki bhai ab apne se nhi ho rha to unse help lo jinne ukhada h kuch.😂(sorry for the words but i thought exactly this). Then the august sale came and without wasting any more time i join these guys.

After few initial session it was clear to me that my problem was not technical but mentality. I started working on myself. Gave myself time to reflect on my experiences and know myself and it worked out for me.

Thursday 11 am was my first interview for my first company and friday 4:30 i had verbal offer letter. In just under 30hrs. The job role is great; SQL reporting and analyst. The team is fantastic. The pay is solid 85k for an fresher in this field. I was SD back in india. The growth potential is solid since it’s relatively new company. The role align with my future plans and they have amazing perks too; including free education to me and my family in university.

Once again i want to thank bani and ishank for their motivations and guidance would had took me much much time without you guys. My friends and ninjas keep working hard your day will also come.

Hello everyone. It’s been a long time since I last posted, but I’m excited to share some great news.

I’ve officially secured a Field Assistant Engineering position with the Toronto Region Conservation Authority.

This journey has been nothing short of a learning experience. So far, I’ve gone through 15 interviews, received 3 offers, and I’m still waiting on responses for 2 more positions from WSP. This journey has been full of ups and downs, but every experience has been a lesson. Before landing this role, I got my first field job as an Auditor—but things didn’t turn out as expected. That experience taught me a crucial lesson: always make sure you fully understand what you’re accepting in an offer. If you ever see additional responsibilities included, ask what those responsibilities are! I worked there for a few days, realized it wasn’t the right fit, resigned, and restarted my job hunt and Within just a few days, I had 5 interviews lined up, and gave the interviews form where I got the offer from TRCA.

Starting from scratch applying, networking, and refining my approach has taught me a lot. My biggest takeaways:

1-Cold emails—targeting the right people makes all the difference.

2- Implicit connections—coffee chats helped me immensely.

3- Putting ego aside & seeking the right guidance—this is a game-changer.

4- Daily interview prep—because once your resume, cover letter, and strategy are solid, interview invites start rolling in.

5- Time management- I was giving daily 6 hours which included cold emails in morning before 8am and implicit and explicit connection in afternoon, interview prep. with certification courses in evening.

In my view, landing a job - 70% interview preparation and 30% applications & strategy.

Today, I’m proud to share that I’ve accepted an offer as a Chemical Operator at Apotex Inc..

This moment means more than just a job title. It represents months of uncertainty, rejections, self-doubt, and constant effort.

There were days when I questioned my strategy. Days when I refreshed my inbox more times than I want to admit. Days when I wondered if my Master’s degree and past experience would ever translate into a real opportunity here in Canada.

But I kept going.

Cold emails. Follow-ups. Interview prep. Technical rounds. Background checks. Staying disciplined when results were invisible.

And then came the call.

The manager was impressed. HR discussed compensation. I negotiated respectfully, confidently and secured $6,000 more than the initial number. That conversation alone was a reminder: know your value, but communicate it professionally. (Thank you so much @Bani Singh Bhoma for developing negotiation skill in me)

When the offer email arrived, I just sat there for a few minutes. Quiet. Grateful. Relieved.

This isn’t just my achievement. I’m deeply thankful to @Bani Singh Bhoma and @Ishank Tandon ; their guidance, structure, and tough advice pushed me to think strategically, not emotionally. Sometimes you need people who challenge you, not just motivate you.

Most importantly, this step brings me closer to fulfilling my parents’ dreams. Everything they sacrificed, every risk taken to support my education, today feels like a small return on their faith.

To anyone still searching:

Rejection is redirection.

Silence does not mean failure.

Preparation compounds.

Follow the process.

Keep improving. Keep reaching out. Keep learning. Your breakthrough can come quietly and suddenly.

After months of navigating job boards, interviews, and self-doubt, I’ve officially landed a Data Analyst role — selected from over 800+ applicants, with no Canadian degree and no Canadian work experience.

This isn’t just a job offer. It’s a reminder that strategy, resilience, and community support can break barriers that once felt immovable.

Every day when I woke up, I used to tell myself, I just need one yes.

I got a Project Coordinator position at PHSA, a publicly funded health service provider in British Columbia and a benchmark for all job enthusiasts in BC. I can vouch when I say that Machine Gun method really works wonders when you stick to it.

I got 2 interview opportunities through one Linked message and without even applying for any job. I could not clear the first one and the recruiter reached out to me again when there was an opportunity and I was a perfect fit.

I know you might get ignored from 100s of people but you only need a few to respond. Even if you don't get it done be respectful and reach out and let them know you would love to talk again if an opportunity arises.

I am so excited to be sharing this news with you that I accepted the position as a Data Analyst at Amazon Canada last week 🎆. I will be working with the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team to ensure data quality and integrity across Amazon products.

When I started this journey I was underconfident and did not know how to showcase my skills in the best way to stand out from the crowd. 💬

Now I know how to stand out in an interview to let the company know that I am the right fit for the role.

Here are some things that helped me:

1. Giving as many mock interviews as possible (both technical and non-technical)
2. Creating an Excel sheet with company values and preparing my stories that align with the values in the STAR method
3. Talking to people on coffee chats from Amazon who work in the same domain
4. Prepare the presentation about my elevator pitch for 5-6 minutes and present it as my introduction to the hiring manager (team lead)
5. Practicing tough interview questions and also follow-up questions from that question

I’m absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news – I’ve landed my dream role as a Business Development Representative at Bisco Industries, one of the top 7 mass distributors of electrical components and military-spec hardware! 🎉 After giving my all in the interview yesterday, I’m excited to say I successfully cracked it on my second attempt, and I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter in my career. 🚀

What’s even more amazing is the fact that when I first started coaching, I was only expecting a job offering around 50K. But now, I’ve been offered this role with a 77K OTE and the added benefit of salary increments every 6 months. 💰 It’s such a huge step forward, and I’m honestly beyond words at how much things have turned around for me. 😲I was working in a restaurant for about 4-4.5 years. I even moved to a different province, hoping to get my PR but ended up failing miserably. I came back to BC and started doing Uber delivery full-time, unsure of what to do next in my life.But then, I joined this coaching and everything changed. The journey wasn’t easy at all.

There were days when I honestly thought about not applying to jobs anymore. I can completely relate to each one of you because the job hunt can be daunting and, at times, exhausting.

What kept me going was seeing fellow ninjas share their stories, their mistakes, their learnings, and their wins. Every time I saw someone post about their success, I used to think, One day, I’ll be the one posting about my win. And today, I finally am.

There were many challenges along the way. I injured myself at work, which affected my health and required me to take couple of months off to rest. But even during that time, I didn’t want to stop. I used that time to upskill myself, work on certifications, and continue applying.

There were situations that held me back, but somewhere deep down, I always knew that this wasn’t the reason I came to Canada. I had left behind my IT and cybersecurity career in India with a dream of building my career here in Canada, and I didn’t want to give up on that dream.

Throughout this journey, my parents were my biggest support. They constantly encouraged me, motivated me, and reminded me to keep working toward my goal of landing a full-time cybersecurity role in Canada. I truly could not have done this without them. ❤️

I’m so delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as a Public Affairs Officer with BC Public Service at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

This journey has been exhilarating and eye opening in more ways than I anticipated.

I came out of it more humbled, patient, grateful and confident.

I joined the program on 14th January and signed my offer letter on 14th June. Alhamdullilah.

I finally got a job in my own field of Digital Marketing.

When I came to Canada, I was clear about one thing—I wanted to build my career in marketing, no matter what.

The journey wasn't easy. I still remember attending a York University career fair, only to realize that most employers were hiring for skilled trades, which also decreased my morale of getting a marketing job. One company mentioned they were looking for marketing interns, but they expected applicants to have a portfolio. That one conversation pushed me to build one from scratch.

After months of applications and interviews that didn't convert, I started questioning whether I was just repeating the same strategy.

That's when I came across Immigrant Ninja.

The biggest takeaway for me wasn't just resume reviews or interview preparation—it was the mindset. I realized that growth comes from improving your approach, being open to change, and taking action instead of overthinking.

Today, I'm grateful not only for the opportunity I've received, but also for everything I learned throughout this journey.

I recently joined the career coaching and have just completed with my LinkedIn restructuring and boom in 2 days I get a message regarding a job opportunity and a screening call request. I have been active on LinkedIn for the past 8 years of my life and have never received a job opportunity message even when I was actively searching and connecting with people. This instance has made my belief more concrete on the beauty of the coaching process and a small motivation to all to just follow the process and WE WILL MAKE IT BIG!!!

And the appreciation does not end here as I had a screening call and also an in person interview in the span of just 2 days and guess who acted as the hero for the preparation of in person interview? THE INTERVIEW NINJA BOOK!!! All the questions asked were from the 39 questions provided and just made me even laugh a bit in front of the interviewer which helped me hitting my nervousness out of the room. I am so motivated to have had this experience in just the Week 2 of my coaching and hoping for the best and more learnings and life altering experiences in the near future.

A few months ago, I found myself at a pretty low point. Despite having solid experience in SaaS companies, my confidence had taken a hit, and I was losing hope of landing a meaningful job where I could truly be myself.

Fast forward to today, I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve accepted a role as a Customer Support Specialist at Clio, working from their Toronto office (yes, right next to the CN Tower—small wins matter too 🥳). For the first time in a while, I feel like I’m stepping into a space where my skills, experience, and voice truly matter.

What changed? I took a chance on myself and joined the Immigrant Ninjas. This gave me a structure when I felt lost, guidance when I needed direction, and most importantly, belief in myself when I had run out of it.

But this win isn’t just about a job. It’s about confidence restored, goals realigned, and a renewed sense of purpose. 😇

Hey everyone! I have waiting to share this since so long! I joined back in March 2024 and gave interviews in a lot of my dream companies which I couldn't even imagine to have been considered for!

Within the last 3 days so much has happened and I was so overjoyed with everything!

I got 2 offers for Inside sales role, and one of them is from my dream company! Dell! My parents literally celebrated when I told them!! :)

I am so grateful for this @Bani Singh Bhoma and especially @Ishank Tandon who was there for me before each interview, hopped on calls with me to prepare me for everything! Thankyou so much guys!

My job hunting saga has finally concluded! I'm overjoyed to announce that today, I received an offer for the position of Lead IT Project Manager from one of the biggies in GTA, Canada. 🥳🥳🥳 This opportunity marks my first job in Canada, and I couldn't have wished for a better outcome.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. Your unwavering support and camaraderie within this community have been instrumental in not just boosting morale, but also in assisting fellow members to realize their professional aspirations. For a long time, I genuinely felt underconfident.

Even though I knew my skills were good, I still kept thinking maybe the gap in my career was the issue. Maybe the work permit was holding me back. Maybe I just won’t be able to crack roles here in Canada.

I had not given interviews for my target role in years, so somewhere I had convinced myself that it might be difficult for me now.

The job search phase was honestly tiring. Applying again and again and not hearing back can really mess with your confidence. But one thing I kept holding on to was what Ishank and Bani always say YOU JUST NEED A SINGLE YES.

And that stayed with me.

I used to see people from this community getting jobs and think, if they can do it, I can also figure it out. I just needed to stay consistent and trust the process.

It wasn’t perfect all the time. There were days I couldn’t do everything the way I wanted. But I still kept going and tried to put in effort wherever I could. Some days were better, some days weren’t, but I didn’t stop.

Every interview I got, I gave it my full effort.

And eventually, things worked out.

I’ve finally landed my target role in SEO 🇨🇦

If you are in a phase right now where things feel stuck, just keep going. I was there too. It will change eventually. Your win moment is either close or already on its way.

Finally, the part-time days are over for me. I got a job as a DLP Analyst in Montreal. After getting the tips and tricks from this amazing coaching helped me to stand out be it resume, interview skills or the questions that we must ask an interviewer at the end. The interview book is just amazing. It has everything that a person needs to crack any job interview. The best thing is that the way a normal person would apply would be time-consuming but through the methods given by Ishank and Bani, the whole process was shortened. I got this job within a week(5 days exactly) of application and interview.

Just trust in the process and follow the tips given by Ishank and Bani. Each session was an opportunity to learn from my fellow ninjas and was truly inspiring.

I hope everyone gets the dream job that they are looking for. This coaching is the best investment that I have made in myself and I am sure the benefits will be lifelong.

Reflecting on my recent journey, I initially took a deliberate pace to understand the frameworks and restart my job hunt. Over three weeks, I committed myself to consistent efforts, averaging 30+ iterations daily, whether through job postings or reaching out to connections on LinkedIn.

I'm really excited to be preparing for the interviews now, with Ishank's invaluable support in mock interviews, I'm hopeful for positive results in the coming weeks.

I've learned one just needs to keep putting in the efforts, consistently, one day at a time with your utmost honesty and there's no way it wouldn't bring results.

As a student after doing odd jobs jab desk job lagti hai it feels like heaven. I'm excited to share that I got full time as Operations Coordinator. Not my dream role but still getting there.

This post has been a long due as I was still in process of completing few things, I’m happy to share that I finally made it to my dream role at Big 4! (PwC) ✨✨This year was full of struggle but I learnt a lot on the way and kept improving along, this journey definitely brought me a lot closer to spirituality and also helped me learn a lot about myself!✨✨ I would like to extend gratitude to Bani and Ishank for their support and guidance, the modules were great from rewiring the brain, interview prep to negotiation ❤️❤️

Just wanted to post a small win of getting a job offer in tech sales. Joined with Ishank and Bani in July I guess but my job hunt was on and off all the time. The time I started applying jobs and outreaching rigorously daily (around 40 in total) was the time when my interview pipeline started getting built and got 2 offers in a span of 3-4 weeks. All I wanted to tell you anyone looking for job don’t lose hope and trust in the methods told by Ishank and Bani. Ishank’s book and Bani’s guidance with the resume helped way too much in the process. Can’t thank these guys enough! I owe these guys one. Also thanks to the community for being so positive got positivity whenever I opened this channel.

I started with Ishank last year and it has certainly been a journey with lots of ups and downs . I went to NZ in 2019 thinking everything would be easy and sorted but news flash it wasn’t ( Lesson no 1 that Ishank taught me : Nothing will be easy ) I didn’t land a job flunked two subjects in my uni , reason being i was too busy blaming myself and not completing the learning loop. But then Canada happened and then i met Ishank .

Well long story short I attended the Imigrant Ninja Program wherein i was there with the man himself for 3 days and those three days helped me get a full time job even before graduating ( I’ll be graduating in Dec 2023) .

I have two major takeaways from this incident: 1) Evidence is the only truth , it’s the only thing that will give you motivation. 2) Always be eager to learn from the mistakes , complete the loop of learning from it and most importantly Listen to what your mentor says don’t let your ego take you down.

I have so much to say but I’m kinda overwhelmed at the moment because this evidence took long for me to recreate but i will complete the loop fam .
