Ishank Tandon

Ishank Tandon

Co-founder and coach
  • TouchBistro
  • DocuSign

Ishank came to Canada from India with 1.5 years of sales experience and had no Canadian experience. At 23 he was earning 18 lakhs a year in India, and he funded his education in Canada on his own without taking any loan.

Before he finished his degree he was holding offers worth close to $500,000 in total. His first job at TouchBistro was a $100,000 one and his second at DocuSign paid $185,000.

He had no network here and nobody to tell him how hiring works in Canada. He worked it out on his own. Negotiation is the part he pushes hardest on, because he did not get from the first salary to the second by becoming a better employee. He did it by knowing what to ask for.

Bani Singh

Bani Singh

Co-founder and coach
  • Apotex
  • Ontario Parks

Bani pursued her Master’s degree at the Schulich School of Business, one of Canada’s top business schools. She came to Canada from India as a fresher, with no prior corporate experience, Canadian or otherwise.

Her first corporate job in Canada was as a Jr. Project Leader at Apotex. Two years into the role, she realized that her heart wasn’t in it. She switched careers and landed a government job in social media marketing with Ontario Parks.

In both roles, Bani negotiated her salary, something many people are afraid to do because they believe being a fresher or making a career switch leaves them with little negotiating power. She encourages people to get out of stagnant roles, even when staying feels like the easier choice.

HOW WE COACH

You get both of us.
That is the point.

A difficult job search requires both support and honest feedback. Bani and Ishank provide both, but in different ways.

Bani gives feedback with empathy. She listens, understands what you are going through and tells you what needs to improve. When nothing is working and your confidence is low, she becomes your anchor and gives you the belief that you can do it.

Ishank is more direct. He does not sugarcoat things. If your resume, interview answers or job-search strategy is holding you back, he will tell you clearly. The conversation may feel uncomfortable, but it is often the push you need to take action.

Bani helps you move forward without losing confidence. Ishank makes sure you face what needs to change.

WHY WE STARTED THIS

A new country changes the rules.
It does not erase your experience.

We have both been through this ourselves. You arrive, and you are told the experience you brought does not count here. Then you work out on your own what Canadian employers actually respond to. We did that for our own job searches before we taught it to anyone, and we have refined it with hundreds of people since, on their resumes, in their interviews and in the offer conversation at the end.

WORKING WITH US

You don’t need to leave
your experience behind.

Bring what you already know how to do. The coaching works on how Canadian employers hear it.
