Many immigrants are facing this problem (you’re not alone)

Nature has given us all the pieces required to achieve exceptional wellness and health, but has left it to us to put these pieces together.

I know that navigating life as an immigrant can feel challenging, especially without family nearby for support.

A few immigrants have shared with me about their anxiety and them experiencing panic attacks.

That’s why I wanted to share something that might help you: Box Breathing.

This simple breathing technique can be a valuable tool to regain control and calm your mind, even when you’re by yourself.

Here’s how it works:

Inhale for 4 seconds – Slowly breathe in through your nose for a count of four.

  1. Hold your breath for 4 seconds – Keep that breath in for four counts.

  2. Exhale for 4 seconds – Gently exhale through your mouth for four seconds.

  3. Hold again for 4 seconds – Pause and hold for another four counts.

Repeat this cycle a few times, and it can help soothe your mind and body almost instantly.

Box breathing is used by people in high-pressure situations (even Navy SEALs!), but it’s just as effective for everyday anxiety.

It’s like a mental reset button, giving you a moment of peace when you need it most.

So, the next time you feel overwhelmed or experience a panic attack, remember this technique. You'll have a way to calm yourself down, even when you’re alone.

Keep Blooming,
Bani Singh
