Did you ever feel this in an interview round?

Nature has given us all the pieces required to achieve exceptional wellness and health, but has left it to us to put these pieces together.

You know how they say Vancouver’s winter is all about rain, right?

Well, let me tell you about my laugh (or cry)-at-myself moment from last winter.

I had to go outside and looked at my weather app - it showed it will start raining in 1 hour.

I could see the dark clouds outside but I thought, “I will be back before it starts raining. I want my hands to be free, so let’s leave the umbrella at home”

So, I stepped outside being happy that I won’t have to carry my umbrella around.

Big mistake.

Soon enough, the first tiny raindrops started tapping on my head.
No big deal, I told myself.

But then, it happened. The sky opened up and I got drenched (and it was nothing like the movies!)

Picture this: Scampering between roofed spots, my sweater getting soaked, my hair all messed, I couldn't really enjoy my day.

The lesson is:

✅ Never be overconfident about Vancouver’s weather. It can rain anytime!
Never go to an interview unprepared just because you’re feeling overconfident.

You might think it’s just the 1st round, you will be able to nail it, but then in the middle of the interview, you realize you needed more preparation.

Maybe you didn’t research enough about the company, or you forgot to practice common interview questions.

And, just like that downpour caught me off guard, the missed prep can leave you feeling uncomfortable and lead to a wasted opportunity.

A little bit of prep can go a long way.

So why not:

✅ Research about the company & the industry
✅ Brush up on your technical knowledge
✅ Note down the questions you would want to ask at the end
✅ Practice thinking through situations for behavioural questions
✅ Practice even simple questions like “Tell me about yourself again”

Even if you think you're ready, a bit of extra effort can be the difference between getting an offer letter or a rejection email.
