Arshad Nadeem, Olympic gold & your field job
“Well done is better than well said.”
Arshad Nadeem's photo has graced newspaper pages, gone viral on Instagram reels, and left an indelible mark on people's hearts.
He’s adored even in India despite the sports rivalry shared between the two countries.
And, no, it’s not about him winning the Gold medal.
It’s because how he won.
He had no world class gym.
No infrastructure.
No nutritionist.
He literally came from the bottom and touched the stars.
The love is because he won despite all the odds.
The love is because of his struggle.
The love is because of his grit.
You can learn an important lesson from his journey…
You don’t need a fancy degree to get a job.
You don’t need prior work experience to get a job.
You don’t need referrals to get your foot in the door.
Do people who have all these have an edge?
Absolutely.
But can you still beat them and get your field job even without these?
Absolutely.
But Bani, he’s just one example out of the many hundreds who didn’t even make it to the Olympics.
My question to you:
Do you want to be the one?
Or do you want to be the people who couldn’t make it.
The good news is that the choice is in your hands.
For those who take accountability.
The bad news is that the choice is in your hands.
For those who like to blame external factors.
Keep Blooming,
Bani Singh
