You’re not lazy but THIS if you’re not applying to jobs
“You can have results or excuses. Not both.”
If you’re not applying to jobs or creating your resume, you’re not lazy.
You are afraid.
Afraid of failure.
Overwhelmed by the process.
Skeptical if your efforts would even be worth it.
Not lazy but afraid. Let that sink in…
At many points in my life, I too have been afraid.
So, thought of sharing those moments with you to show you the other side!
Flyboarding
Before: I wanted to try flyboarding as I found it to be super cool. But I was nervous before trying it as I don’t know proper swimming and I panic when there are strong waves.
After: I was still afraid when I was in the water but I didn’t let that fear stop me from trying it. I felt super brave being in water despite my fear. Once it was over, I was so glad that I did it instead of sitting on the sideline and watching other people do the cool stuff.
Skipping
Before: When I first started jumping rope, I used to trip after just a few skips. Even completing 100 skips seemed difficult.
After: A few days in, I became faster, could do 100-200 skips at a go and used to complete 1000 skips.
YT Channel
Before: I procrastinated a few weeks before starting my YT channel. I was intimidated by the process and my lack of knowledge. I didn’t know how to script, shoot or edit.
If you go to my YT channel and scroll to the very bottom, you will see that I didn’t even place the light the right way!
After: A few videos in, I got comfortable with the process, there were fewer retakes and I started getting more confident in front of the camera.
Ninja, feeling afraid is normal and okay.
But letting fear get the best of you and stop you from doing the things that will make your life better is NOT OKAY.
You can’t wait for the fear to go away to act.
Coz that never happens.
You have to act despite the fear and then gradually, it will go away.
I promise you, you will figure it all out once you get started.
But you have to take the first step.
If you struggle to get out of your comfort zone and don’t have other people to push you, our community is full of ninjas who support and motivate each other to give their best!
Keep Blooming,
Bani Singh
