Beat your job-hunt procrastination with this highly effective tip
I was chronically dehydrated for the past few years without even knowing it.
I had this revelation when I hired a nutritionist.
I thought drinking 1.5L - 2L was good enough (it’s another thing I wasn’t even drinking that much).
I got to know that 3L is the magic number for a person eating an Indian diet as we don’t consume a lot of salad and fruits.
Initially, everyday, I calculated my water intake, I was disappointed.
It was always short of the 3L mark :-(
By evening, I would still have 1.5L - 2L water left.
And there’s no way I could have had that much water just 2 hours short of bedtime.
You might be experiencing the same problem - not being able to apply to enough jobs on a consistent basis.
Luckily, I have a solution for you…
Here’s how I fixed my water intake.
When I started going to the gym at 11 am, I was down 1L by 12 noon!
That’s when I started hitting my 3L goal.
This is when it hit me - checking off 30% of my goal by noon ensured that I succeeded in completing my daily intake.
How can you apply the same when it comes to applying to jobs?
Step 1 (Awareness): Know that applying to 10 jobs/week is NOT enough. The bare minimum that you can do is applying to atleast 10 jobs/day.
Step 2 (Action Plan): Apply to atleast 3 jobs before noon. It won’t take you more than 10 minutes!
Why it works like a charm?
If you get 30%-50% of your goal completed before noon, you set the momentum for the rest of the day and it’s easier to follow through.
You have more energy at the start of the day.
You don’t come up with excuses like: “I am so tired.”, "I’ve to go meet my friend.”, “I’ve to sleep early as I have my morning shift tomorrow.”
Keep Blooming,
