The productivity advice you have been sleeping on
Hello Ninja,
The last few days have been hell. I have been waking up tired, procrastinating, using my phone a little too much and also sleeping late. This has become a cyclical pattern.
Well, the good thing is I know how to fix this. So, in this newsletter, I am sharing my plan in the hope it will triple your productivity.
Everyone has 24 hrs. Success depends on what you do with those 24 hrs.
What do you think is the biggest factor necessary for productivity?
Good Sleep.
Think about it, a great day starts the night before.
What do you think is the biggest factor in good sleep?
Your bedtime.
Can’t expect a good sleep if you are sleeping after midnight.
According to Ayurveda, 1 hr of sleep before midnight is the same as 2 hrs of sleep after midnight.
Twice as efficient!
I am going to set a bedtime alarm at 9:30 pm. This means, “Stop doing what you are doing and go to bed.”
Most people have a wake-up alarm. Bad strategy.
Sleep late and then forcefully wake up in the middle of the sleep cycle. Recipe for disaster.
To summarize my strategy:
1. Bedtime alarm at 9:30 pm.
2. No screen time after 9:30 pm. Only a book. (I usually read Gita)
3. The most important task first thing after waking up.
4. Mornings for the future, rest of the day for the present.
5. Sleep in a dark room. Wear an eye mask if needed.
Try this and let me know how you feel throughout the day.
These rules were instrumental in my success.
All the best!
