Inflation, high rent, and living paycheck to paycheck
Hi Ninja,
There’s no denying the fact that inflation is out of control.
Grocery, eating out, rent - everything has gone through the roof.
Surviving on minimum-wage has become almost impossible.
You didn’t come all the way abroad, away from your family, just to live paycheck to paycheck.
So, what is someone to do if they want to thrive in this economy?
There's no way around it...
You need to make more money.
In other words:
You need to get out of your low-paying job
And get a good corporate job.
A job that pays you well enough to live comfortably in this economy.
The job market is tough.
There are fewer openings and more job seekers.
So, you need to find innovative ways to stand out.
Here’s one practical tip for you to do so:
✅ Use LinkedIn to find contacts at your target company.
Aim for someone who might have an influence over the hiring decision.
✅ Set up a coffee chat.
Use the conversation to learn about things like:
➡️ Their team’s biggest challenge
➡️ Current initiatives
➡️ Goals for the next 12 months
✅ Combine all the info from the conversations to create a slide deck, including potential ways to solve the problem and highlight how you can add value to the company. Send this to the decision makers.
If you do this, you will stand out in a true way and it would be difficult for them to not invite you for the interview.
All the best!
Keep Blooming,
Bani Singh
