Read this if you’re doing a minimum-wage job

Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done.
— David Goggins

Today, I want to talk about the overwhelming situation many immigrants face when they come to Canada and get caught up in the whirlwind of their new lives.

You have to manage so many things all at once:

- Going to the minimum-wage job just to survive
- Scrambling to meet assignment deadlines
- Applying to full-time jobs
- Networking with strangers
- Thinking about the irritating roommate

And million other things that keep you up at night.

Not to mention, the constant fear and intrusive thoughts:

- That coming to Canada might have been a mistake
- That you are not being able to give back to your parents
- That you might not achieve the goals that you had in mind when you booked a one-way flight to Canada

If you have felt any of these things, I want you to know, that you’re not alone!

There are a lot of people that struggle with the same thing.

But here's the truth…

Amidst all this chaos that we think makes our lives miserable, we're one step away from losing it all.

One step away from becoming someone else's cautionary tale.

Think about it:

- Someone your age just got news that they won't live long. Their dreams? Shattered in an instant.

- A child is starving, not knowing if he'll see another sunrise. Their future? Uncertain.

- Someone's life changed forever in a split second accident. Their independence? Gone.

- A 5-year-old lost their parents. His childhood? Stolen.

These aren't just stories.

They're happening right now, to real people.

And the scariest part? It could be any of us, at any moment.

Why am I telling you this?

Not to paralyze you with fear, but to hopefully light a fire inside you.

Because here's the flip side:

You have a chance. A chance to make it. To succeed. To live the life you’ve always dreamed of.

But that chance? It's slipping away…

Every day you stay in that dead-end job, every opportunity you miss, every connection you don't make - you're gambling your future away.

Don’t doubt yourself. What you have is enough to get started.

You might have seen people who you think are dumber than you doing better than you.

They are doing better because they took action.

Imagine, if you believe in yourself and your capabilities, how much further YOU would go!

But if you don’t push out of your comfort zone, your potential will be wasted in a minimum-wage job.

So, it’s high time you stop procrastinating and take control of your life.

Keep Blooming,
Bani Singh
