From an Architect Intern in India to a Project Coordinator in Canada
Hello Ninjas,
Sharing an inspiring story to give you hope and proof that you too can get your field job despite not having any relevant experience. It shows that the right mindset and strategy can change your life in a matter of a few weeks!
Meet Daman, who came to Canada for a better lifestyle. She did her Bachelor of Architecture back in India and wanted to transition into Project Management.
It was crucial for her to get a job ASAP as she wanted to support her sister who was pursuing her education in Canada. She wanted to lift the financial burden weighing on her parents.
She had graduated in April 2023 and was frustrated because she was not getting any interview calls. She started doubting herself as she heard a lot of people talking about how it is impossible to get a field job if you don’t have ‘Canadian experience’ or ‘prior project management experience.’
But she was smart. She realized this was just a myth as she saw a lot of new graduates, with or without experience, getting field jobs. It was then that she decided to go for our career coaching despite her initial hesitancy in investing that much money because of our mentees' success stories and her trust in us.
Here’s how we guided her:
Even though she did not have project management experience, we helped her revamp her resume by highlighting her Architect Intern experience and projects in a strategic way.
She started using our secret method and did not even need to apply for jobs on company career pages or on websites such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
She got an interview within the first week of using our secret job application method. After going through our interview prep, she was confident to highlight her project management acumen and transferrable skills.
Here’s how her life has changed:
She went from working a minimum-wage job to making $57,500 within 7 days of using our job strategy.
She has lifted her parents’ financial burden by supporting her sister’s education.
She's happy that she got her field job and can start growing in her career and give back to her parents by fulfilling their dreams.
Daman’s story shows that believing in yourself, using the right strategy, and not paying heed to job myths in the market can get you out of your minimum-wage job. So, don’t stop believing that you too are capable of getting your field job!
Keep blooming,
Bani
