There are no jobs in Canada

Many people are talking about how difficult it has become to land a field job in Canada.

Yes. It’s not the best of the times but there is a solution to every problem.

How?
Through your perception and strategy.

Here are three most common objections of many people right now:

❌ There are no jobs in Canada!
✅ Relook at your job search approach. Don’t stick to traditional methods. Were this to be true, no one would be getting a job. Look at our mentees, there are atleast 3 new job offers every week.

❌ You need a really good degree from a prestigious institution to get a high paying job in today’s market.
✅ Recruiters don’t care about your degree. If you have the required skills to do the job well and can explain it during the interview, that’s all that matters. Focus on upskilling yourself.

❌ You cannot get a job in this market if you don’t have Canadian experience.
✅ Our mentees with no Canadian experience are getting $50K-$115K jobs. It all depends on your resume, job strategy and how well you perform during the interview.

Here’s an actionable plan for you:

Focus on identifying your key strengths, choose a high leverage vehicle and then build your competence.

For example: a person working a minimum wage job works the same 8 hours but makes way less money than a software developer or a tech sales professional.

Eventually, everything comes down to how good you are at what you do + your opportunity vehicle. If you take care of these two things, you will never have to be worried about making good money or running out of job options.

Making money is a skill game, while accountability is a mindset game.

So it’s your choice: complain or take accountability?

Remember, only one of them makes your life better.

Don’t let the fear mongering stop you from dreaming big!
