F*ck What People Think!

Hi,

Imagine you are dead. It has been a few hours. Your parents are sitting beside your dead body. Your relatives, friends and some neighbours are there too. Your body is being prepared for cremation/burial.

The ceremonies are held. The last rights are performed. People return home.

If you have been to a similar scene you can imagine what is happening around you. The ones closest to you are still in disbelief. Your kids, spouse, parents, close relatives, grandparents etc. Let’s call this Group A.

Everyone else is busy in their own banter. Gossip, complaining and rumours have begun. People are talking to others about their kids, their education, their marriage and even about the food they are having. Maybe even about the upcoming movies or songs. Let’s call this Group B.

Do you see the difference between the 2 groups?

Now come back to the present scenario and think.

  1. isn’t it sad that we think too much about the opinions of Group B instead of Group A?

  2. Isn’t it shocking that we do not chase our dreams just out of fear of the people from Group B?

  3. Isn’t it sickening to imagine people in Group A suffering coz we cared too much about what Group B will think of us?

It's natural to care about what other people think of us. We all want to be liked and accepted, and it can be difficult to ignore the opinions of those around us. But the truth is, we can't control what other people think, and worrying about it can hold us back from pursuing our dreams.

When we care too much about what others think, we may start to second-guess ourselves and our choices. We may be afraid to take risks or try new things, for fear of being judged or rejected. But this can hold us back from reaching our full potential and living the life we truly want.

So why not let go of the need to control what others think of us? Instead, focus on living a life that is true to yourself and your values. Chase your dreams with determination and a clear sense of purpose, regardless of what others may say or think.

So the next time you catch yourself not chasing your dreams coz you are afraid of the opinions of people in Group B, try imagining your death again.

Remember, people who love you will always support you. No conditions applied.

Live for them.

Die for them.
